The ABCs of CBD

Understanding CBD is easier than learning the alphabet

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is the most abundant cannabinoid found in the hemp plant and is associated with numerous health and wellness benefits.

What other cannabinoids are in pure CBD Oil?

Our full-spectrum CBD oil contains high concentrations of CBD and other numerous cannabinoids such as CBC, CBG, and CBN. These beneficial cannabinoids are not psychoactive and are being studied scientifically for a wide variety of health benefits. Cannabinoids work synergistically together with what scientists refer to as the “Entourage Effect”.

In addition to cannabinoids, there are many other compounds present in our hemp, including various flavonoids and terpenes imparting additional benefits and characteristic flavors and aromas to the oil.

How Does CBD Oil Work?

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a biological system that helps regulate a variety of important bodily functions including digestion, immune function, inflammation, sleep, cognition, and recovery.

CBD and other cannabinoids interact with the receptors within the ECS. It’s the interaction between the messengers and receptors of this essential system that help the ECS maintain homeostasis, which is the balance and stability that keeps nearly every function in your body running the way it’s supposed to.

What Are The Benefits of CBD?

Many people use CBD for a variety of reasons.

How Long Does It Take To Feel The Affects of CBD?

There are multiple variables that come into play, with most notably the type of delivery method and time. With a product like a topical, it may only take 5-20 mins. Other delivery methods make take 1-3 days; however.

Since CBD affects everyone differently, we recommend you adjust your dosing and frequency until you find what works best for you. The most important thing is to be consistent and to give it some time.

How Is CBD Different From Marijuana?

They come from the same plant genus, Cannabis Sativa L.; however, the marijuana plant is cultivated to have high levels of THC and low levels of CBD whereas hemp is cultivated to have low levels of THC and high levels of CBD. THC is the psychoactive cannabinoid in cannabis/marijuana.

Do Your Pure CBD Products Contain Any THC?

Hemp plants inherently contain trace amounts of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). The hemp-derived CBD used in our products is 3rd party lab-tested to ensure that they always contain less than 0.3% THC. These trace amounts of THC will not make you feel “stoned” or “high.”

If I Take Your Products, Will I Fail A Drug Test?

Generally, the small amounts of THC in our products (less than 0.3%) should not show up in a blood test. However, individual use of our product may vary, and drug tests vary as to what compounds are being analyzed, so we are unable to make any claims or guarantees regarding the use of our products and blood tests.

Is CBD Safe And Are There Any Side Effects?

Although CBD is considered a safe, natural product with little risk of side effects, it is possible that CBD could cause adverse reactions for some people. It may also interact with certain medications that are metabolized through the same mechanism. We recommend that you consult with your physician before using CBD.

How Much CBD Oil Should I Take?

Each of our bodies metabolizes the naturally occurring cannabinoids in PūrWell’s CBD products differently. For that reason, we suggest using it twice per day and starting with a low dosage and increasing it slowly until you achieve the desired results.

PūrWell products are clearly marked to identify the amount of hemp extract contained per container or bottle. If the product contains, for example, 1500mg of hemp extract per bottle and there are 30 servings per bottle, then each serving would contain 50mg.

The amount of hemp extract contained in our Capsules is listed by individual serving.

Can I Take Too Much CBD?

There are currently no known negative reactions to high levels of CBD hemp oil. In December 2017 the World Health Organization reported that there have been no adverse outcomes and that naturally occurring CBD is well-tolerated in humans and animals, safe and not associated with any negative public health effects. It is also non-addictive.

Research on CBD is still being conducted to determine long term effects, as well as to scientifically verify the many potential benefits.

What Makes PūrWell Products Different?

Many manufacturers use what is called an isolate, where the CBD molecules are isolated without other parts of the plant. They also use synthetic CBD or CBD oils extracted from the seeds, stems, or roots of low-grade hemp imported from China, Europe, and Canada.

PūrWell products are made from the oil extracted from the leaves and flowers of select U.S grown hemp strains that are rich in cannabinoids, terpenes, and other beneficial plant compounds. Our full-spectrum hemp oil provides what is called the “Entourage Effect” where each molecular compound amplifies the other in a synergistic manner. This interdependent action of the various cannabinoids on the human endocannabinoid system provides optimal physical benefits.

Additionally, pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides are never used on our plants. The farm creates its own organic fertilizer that not only helps us grow beautiful, healthy hemp but also helps balance the local ecosystem.

How Does PūrWell Ensure Product Quality and Consistency?

At PurWell, we clone our hemp plants from the female hemp strain used to formulate our products.

This is done by clipping off a leaf from each plant, and then planting it in our nutrient rich soil. Once it takes root, it’s transferred to its growing pot where it will remain until harvest. This ensures that each batch or generation of hemp plants are genetically identical to their mothers.

Additionally, each batch of CBD oil is independently lab-tested for potency, pesticides, contaminants, and residual solvents.

Each product label and box have a QR code that links to its Certificate of Analysis (lab results). You can also access our Certificates of Analysis by clicking here.
