Red, White, and Blueberry: the Best Non Alcoholic 4th of July Drinks

Drinks are important on the 4th of July. We made a list of our favorite non-alcoholic drinks to help you cool down + CBD ! These drinks are made with fresh summer ingredients that are usually available. Enjoy!

Berry Splash

When red, white, and blue are the colors of the day your drink should follow suit. 4th of July punch recipes don’t get any simpler than red cherry juice, white cranberry juice, and blueberries for a patriotic garnish. Feel free to adjust the sugar content to make this as sweet or as tart as you prefer.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package unsweetened cherry drink mix
  • 6 cups white cranberry juice
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 mL CBD tincture
  • Garnish: blueberries or blueberry ice cubes (1 cup of each)

Instructions

Add 2 cups of water to cherry drink mix, cranberry juice, sugar, and CBD tincture and stir until drink mix and sugar dissolve. Cover and chill, garnishing each glass with blueberries. As a decorative alternative, combine 1 cup each of white cranberry juice and water and pour into ice cube trays with 5-6 blueberries per cube. Freeze for at least 4 hours before adding to drink.

Southern Breeze

This recipe is for a yummy drink you can have on the 4th of July. It has a paper umbrella in it, which is fun! The drink is made with blue raspberry lemonade ice cubes, which make it colorful and tasty. 

You also need pineapple juice and ginger ale to give it an island flavor and bubbles. Make sure to freeze the ice cubes for at least 8 hours before you make the drink. It will make you feel like you’re on a tropical vacation!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 package blue raspberry lemonade mix
  • 7 cups water
  • 1 (6 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
  • 1 (46 ounce) can unsweetened pineapple juice, chilled
  • 1 (2 liter) bottle ginger ale, chilled
  • 1 CBD tincture

Instructions

In a 2 quart pitcher, combine water, blue raspberry mix, lemonade concentrate, sugar and CBD tincture. Pour into 5 ice cubes trays and place in freezer for at least 8 hours. When ready to serve, place several ice cubes in a glass, combine pineapple juice and ginger ale and pour over ice cubes. Garnish with paper umbrella.

Fruity Floats

When it’s hot on the 4th of July and you need to cool down quickly, ice cream is a great option. One easy and tasty way to enjoy it is to pour fruit-flavored soda on vanilla ice cream and add a fun straw. It doesn’t matter how old you are, everyone loves ice cream on hot Independence Day.

Ingredients

  • Assorted cans of grape, lime, or black cherry soda
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • 1mL CBD tincture 

Instructions

Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to glasses or mason jars. Pour the soda flavor of your choice over the ice cream until it floats near the top. Add CBD and colorful straw for garnish and easy sipping

Classic Sweet Tea

On July 4th, people want drinks without alcohol. One popular choice is sweet iced tea from the southern United States. This recipe is a little different than usual because it uses simple syrup to sweeten the tea and a tiny bit of baking soda to make it clear. This way you don’t have to worry about sugar grains in your drink. It’s a delicious option for celebrating the holiday.

Ingredients

  • 12 regular-size black tea bags
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 quart distilled or bottled water
  • 1 quart ice cubes
  • 1 ¼ cups cooled simple syrup (1 cup sugar and 1 cup water boiled until sugar is dissolved)
  • 1mL CBD tincture 

Instructions

Place tea bags and baking soda in a large heat-proof glass pitcher. Bring water to a gentle boil and pour over tea bags, making sure all are submerged. Cover and steep for 7 minutes. Remove the tea bags without squeezing them. Add ice and stir until melted. Stir in simple syrup and CBD, pour into glasses with fresh ice and garnish with lemon slices.
